About this tool: ID photo format helper
Check an original photo or prepare a permitted crop and print sheet on your device.
Choose the relevant profile and position the crop over a photo that already has appropriate lighting, pose and background. The tool prepares supported dimensions and print layouts locally. It does not automatically correct the face, remove the background or determine that a passport authority will accept the image.

Manual square crop: 600 × 600 px, 2 × 2 in at 300 dpi. Confirm your embassy or consulate requires printed photos.
35 × 45 mm · generic print format
A generic 35 × 45 mm print format at 300 dpi (413 × 531 px). It is not a country-specific approval or e-photo code.
UK passport · online, own-device photo
Check the original file only: at least 600 × 750 px and 50 KB–10 MB. Do not crop or alter it; the application handles cropping.
Open the official requirements linked from the selected profile. Check the person’s head position and keep the required parts of the photograph inside the selected rectangle. Download the photo or supported print sheet and print at the intended scale. The 35×45 format specifies dimensions; the tool does not automatically check biometric compliance or guarantee approval by passport authorities.
