MCP: FilmLune in Claude, Claude Code and Codex

MCP lets a compatible client use structured tools. FilmLune exposes reusable cases publicly and private cloud generation to eligible accounts through the same MCP endpoint; it does not offer a separate REST-style Public API.

Connect a compatible client to FilmLune’s Streamable HTTP endpoint. Six public tools need no account: five rights-filtered catalog tools and the generation model list. Active accounts with a verified email can use their own scoped MCP access key to get quotes, upload references and generate private images and videos with eligible FilmLune credits. This is MCP access, not a standalone Public API.

Add this URL to a compatible MCP client. Catalog reads need no key; generation requires an eligible account-bound MCP access key.

Claude Code

Add FilmLune with one command. The public catalog tools work without a key.

To generate, keep your MCP access key in the FILMLUNE_MCP_KEY environment variable and add it as a header:

Codex

Add FilmLune to your Codex configuration. Codex sends the key from the FILMLUNE_MCP_KEY environment variable; without it, only the public tools are available.

Claude app

In Claude, add a custom connector and paste the endpoint URL to use the public catalog tools. Generation needs an MCP access key sent in a request header; for now, generate from Claude Code or Codex.

Connect and call tools

1. Add the Streamable HTTP endpoint shown above to a compatible MCP client, or run the local stdio server.
2. Initialize the connection and list the six public tools plus the seven account-bound tools for quotes, uploads, generation and history.
3. Read with search_cases and get_case without a key. To create private media, add your MCP access key and call generate_image or generate_video, then check_generation.

Create, review and revoke your keys in your account. A key is shown once; store it in an environment variable, not in a shared file.

FilmLune will never ask you to email or post your password, one-time code, full card number, security code, MCP access key, or Stripe secret on X or Discord.

Permissions and source of truth

The generated catalog has no write path. Authenticated generation creates only an owner-private FilmLune job and follows the website’s safety and credit controls; it cannot edit or publish catalog content. Record-level rights and the separate content license govern prompt use, while case media and third-party materials remain excluded.
