About this tool: Crop image
Select an exact area of your original image and download it at its source pixel size.
Choose an aspect ratio or a free crop, then move the selection and adjust its edges around the subject. This is useful for a square profile image or removing distracting margins without generating new content. Width, height and position refer to pixels in the original image.
Preview the change before downloading. Keep the original dimensions when detail matters, and reduce dimensions only when your destination requires it.
What you can do
Use an image or video you own or have permission to modify. Keep the original; a crop, format conversion or quality setting may remove pixels, transparency or fine detail.
Choose an aspect ratio, then move or resize the crop over the subject. The download contains only the selected source pixels; it does not extend the scene.
Drag the selection or its handles. Arrow keys adjust the focused control by 1 pixel; hold Shift for 10 pixels.
The output must be between 1 and 24 million pixels, with each side at most 8192 pixels.
Check that important faces, lettering and hands remain inside the selected area. Focused controls support arrow-key adjustments, with Shift for larger steps. Ratios are rounded to whole source pixels. This tool keeps the selected region of the original image; it does not generate extra surroundings, restore missing detail or upscale that region.
